Adding a File

Selecting Add File on the Files screen displays the Add a File dialog box, illustrated below, which is used to upload files to the system as well as set permissions for access to that file, associate the file with a specific project and assign roles to it. Follow these steps to add a file to CRM3.com.

  1. Click Browse to locate the file on your computer and upload it to the system. The name of the file will automatically be added within the Name text field.
  2. Modify the name of the file in the Name text field if desired.
  3. Enter a description for the file in the Description text field.
  4. Set permissions for access to the file by making a selection from the Permissions list. Available options are Private and Public.
  5. Select a project with which to associate the file from the Project list, if necessary.
  6. Select a role to associate with the file by making a selection from the Role list. The roles displayed on this list will include the default roles provided by CRM3® as well as any additional Roles you have added to the system. Please refer to the Adding a New Role section of the document for details on adding Roles.
  7. Click OK to save the file to the system or click Cancel to exit the dialog box without uploading and saving the file.
