Importing a Contact
The import dialog allows you to import contacts from a growing number of sources, including Microsoft Outlook, Calyx Point and CSV format. From the “Contacts/Add New” section click on the "Import" button to get started. Once your file has finished uploading to our servers, a ticket will be entered into the import queue. The time the import takes will vary by the number of contacts in the file. You will receive a short email notification when the import has completed.
Importing from Microsoft Outlook
You can bring in your contacts from Outlook by following these steps:
- Open Microsoft Outlook, and from the menu bar select FILE > IMPORT AND EXPORT.
- In the "Choose an action to perform" selector, choose "Export to a file". Click next.
- In the "Create a file of type" selector, choose "Comma Separated Values (DOS)". Click next.
- In the "Select folder to export from" selector under "MailBox" choose "Contacts". Click next
- Choose a location and name for the file (e.g., "C:\outlookexport.csv"). Click next.
- Ensure that "Export Contacts from folder: Contacts" is checked and click Finish.
- Use the Import Contacts dialog in CRM3®, to upload the file you saved in Step 5.
Importing with Our Custom CSV Format
If you have some contact data that you want in CRM3® you can put it all into a CSV file and import the data in bulk.
- Download this sample CSV file.
- Open the CSV file you downloaded in Step 1.
- Enter or paste your existing data into the appropriate columns. Save the file.
- Use the Import Contacts dialog in CRM3®, to upload the file you saved in Step 3.
Importing from Calyx Point
If you have contacts in Calyx Point that you would like to start using in CRM3® follow these simple steps:
- Download this template for exporting from Calyx Point.
- Open up Calyx Point, and bring up the Borrower you want to export.
- From the menu bar select FILE > EXPORT TO > OTHER APP
- In the "Choose a Data Export Template to Use" dialog, find the file you downloaded in Step 1, click Open
- In the "Specify Output Data File" dialog, enter a memorable file name, click Save
- Use the Import Contacts dialog in CRM3®, to upload the file you saved in Step 5.
